July 2025: The Proxy Ends His BHE Chairmanship That Month

The 2026 proxy biography says Mr. Abel “served as BHE’s Chairman until July 2025.” The May 2025 8-K, filed after the succession announcement and before that July, still described him as BHE chairman since 2011. Read together: chairman from 2011 until July 2025, as Berkshire later stated.

The proxy does not give a calendar day in July. This file does not invent one. Leaving the energy chairmanship is not a finding of misconduct. It is a title end-date in a director bio written after he became Berkshire CEO.
