Berkshire Hathaway’s 2026 DEF 14A states that Abel is a current director and Chairman Emeritus of the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc. That is the company’s description of a current affiliation. It is not a government honor and not a finding about Berkshire’s later CEO transition.
