Berkshire Hathaway’s 2026 definitive proxy (Schedule 14A) states that between 2008 and 2018, Gregory E. Abel served as chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company, a wholly owned Berkshire subsidiary. The same bio says he served as BHE’s chairman until July 2025.

The company’s Form 8-K dated for May 3, 2025, adds that he had served as BHE’s chairman since 2011. Horatio Alger’s member page places the MidAmerican-to-BHE rename in 2014 and says the energy group then held assets in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and the Philippines. Those are organizational and SEC sentences. They are not a finding about any state rate case.

This site does not invent a crime, a political office, or a utility-rate verdict from the CEO title. The title is in the filing.
